On 01/17/13, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received information that a person/persons were trying to pawn items at a pawn shop in the Sullivan, Franklin County area, that had been stolen from a residence in the Leasburg, Crawford County area.  Deputies contacted the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Sullivan Police Department asking for their assistance in locating and detaining these individuals.

     Officers with the Sullivan Police Department located the vehicle and made a traffic stop within their city limits. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and a female passenger.  Permission to search the vehicle was granted and numerous items identified by the victim were recovered from the trunk of the car.  Sullivan officers arrested the driver of the vehicle on outstanding warrants and will be applying for charges connected with the stolen items recovered from the vehicle.

     Further investigation led Crawford County Deputies to apply for a search warrant for a residence west of Leasburg.  During the execution of the search warrant numerous other items stolen from the burglary were recovered along with illegal narcotics and paraphernalia.  The only occupant,a male subject was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Jail for booking.

     On 01/18/13, warrant # 13CF-CR00074 was issued on Robert L. Hebert Jr. age 26 of Cuba Mo. for the charge of 2401500, Receiving Stolen Property 570.080 RSMO, a Class C Felony and 3246500 Dist/Del/Manf/Produce a Controlled Substance 195.211 RSMO a Class B Felony.  Bond was set at $100,000.00 cash only. Mr. Hebert Jr. remains in custody in lieu of bond.

     All parties involved in this case are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
